The Craft of Traditional Woodturning

At Kubes Woodworking, I believe beautiful woodworking doesn't need to be complicated. My work is primarily created on the lathe, using traditional woodturning techniques and minimal embellishment to let the natural beauty of the wood take center stage.

Each piece begins with a simple idea and a unique piece of wood. As it takes shape on the lathe, the grain, curves, and character of the material help determine the final result. No two pieces are exactly alike, and that individuality is what makes handmade woodworking so special.

Made to Be Unique

My goal is to create pieces that are unique, attractive, and sometimes functional. From woodturning art and ornaments to crosses and mantels, each creation is made with patience, attention to detail, and genuine appreciation for the craft.

I enjoy creating pieces that invite people to stop, look closer, and appreciate the beauty of something made by hand.

Why I Do It

One of the most rewarding parts of woodworking is seeing the look of appreciation when someone admires a piece I've created. That reaction is what makes the time, patience, and care behind each project worthwhile.

For me, woodworking isn't simply about making an object. It's about creating something with character—something that can be admired, enjoyed, and perhaps become meaningful to someone for years to come.
